L'Arrière Scène BackStage
L'Arrière Scène Backstage supports singer-songwriters from Western, Northern, and Atlantic Canada, aged 18 and over, through an eight-month program (from September to April). The goal is to help participants strengthen and professionalize their artistic and entrepreneurial approach. This fully funded program is made possible thanks to Musicaction’s Soutien aux entrepreneur·e·s et organismes CLOSM initiative. Although the program is delivered in French, instrumental projects—regardless of the language of communication—as well as those created in Indigenous languages are also welcome.
Managed by Music·Musique NB and la Société Chant'Ouest, this program support artists in their professional development by helping them build self-management and entrepreneurial skills. The program includes courses, personalized support, and covers topics such as artistic identity, career management, grant-writing, tour booking, copyright management and album marketing.

Selected singer-songwriters from Western, Northern and Atlantic Canada will participate in bi-weekly virtual sessions and benefit from guidance provided by Alexis Normand, along with other music industry professionals, to help them reach their goals.
Pending available funding, artists may also have the opportunity to take part in networking events such as Breakout West and Phoque OFF
