Francofête en Acadie 2024

A Recap of the Participation of the Artists from L'Arrière Scène Backstage at the Francofête in Acadie: A Memorable Week!

The Francofête in Acadie proved to be a true springboard for the artists from the L'Arrière Scène Backstage program, offering a week full of emotions, encounters, and learning experiences for all those who took part in this exceptional event. From November 6 to 9, these artists delivered incredible showcase performances, sparking enthusiastic reactions and passionate exchanges with the public and industry professionals.

Among the talents on display were Port-Aux-Poutines, Sam Mallais, Samuel Bourgeois, Maude Sonier, aliasjazz, and MESSE. Each artist brilliantly showcased their unique artistic universe, contributing to the excitement and diversity that characterize this grand celebration of francophone music and culture in Acadie.

We would also like to warmly congratulate several of our artists for their outstanding achievements:

  • Samuel Bourgeois, who won the Réseau Ontario Award for his participation in the Contact Ontarois Event. This award will allow him to present an excerpt from his show at the event, which will take place in mid-January.

  • Sam Mallais, who was honored with the Réseau des Grands Espaces Award, granting him the opportunity to showcase his work in the Yukon in the fall of 2025.

  • Sam Mallais also won the Marc Chouinard Award, a distinction that will open the doors to the prestigious Pause Guitare Festival in Albi, France, next July. This will be a unique opportunity for him to perform on an international stage! In addition, he will have the chance to participate in the Voix de fête Festival in March 2026—another major moment not to be missed.

This week at the Francofête in Acadie was truly a celebration of the francophone music scene, and we are proud to see our artists standing out at such a high level. Thank you to everyone who contributed to making this event a success, and congratulations to all our artists for their exceptional work!

Stay tuned for the next steps for these promising talents, who will continue to carry the flag of the francophone music scene with pride!
