MESSE

MESSE is a punchy, groovy and stoner sound. They combine their visceral riffs and rhythms with the French language and have a particular attraction to the color purple. They present a high-energy show where you can jump, scream, sweat and feel young and alive.

 

Wanting to get a firm foothold in the industry from the start, they released their first EP “Connemara PL” in May 2021, a self-produced project in a home studio. Since then, they have performed on the underground scenes of New Brunswick and Quebec, played in a few festivals and were also winners of the Gala de la Chanson de Caraquet. This summer, they will be at the semi-final of the Grand-Concours Hydro-Québec at the FICG.

 

In February 2024, MESSE unveiled “J'metrai le feu” a 5-song EP, a more ambitious project with very “in your face” sounds. It’s a big collage of influences where we find ourselves as much in the era of fringes and bell bottoms as that of flannels and caped boots.
