Born in Montreal, Valérie Quesnel has been working in the cultural field for nearly 20 years. After a few years in booking and representation for several independent artists, she also held various positions at the Cabaret du Mile End (formerly Club Soda, now Théâtre Fairmount), then with Productions Nuits d'Afrique, before finally landing at Kay Productions, renamed Rosemarie Records in 2017. As General Manager of the label until 2024, Valérie developed her expertise and explored several spheres of the industry over the years. Starting with event coordination and tour management, she then took charge of the production and commercialization chain of numerous musical projects, including artistic career development, government funding, and human resources management. Now settled in Quebec City and still passionate about music, the former record store clerk has witnessed the industry completely reshape over the years, and support for emerging artists as well as the accompaniment of independent artists are more than ever at the heart of her concerns.
