P'TIT BELLIVEAU

  • Guest Artist (The Realities of Being an Independent Artist)

P’tit Belliveau is the full-time project of experimental pop artist and Acadian alien Jonah Guimond, who is behind generational anthems such as “Income Tax” and “J’aimerais d’avoir un John Deere.” The Baie-Sainte-Marie, Nova Scotia native lives his life as a series of adventures that he transposes into songs for the greater good. A humble prophet of the goblin mode who simply seeks to feel good and feel great by creating for others: so that the world has a little more love.

After his first three EPs in 2017-2018, we found him likable. With the release of his album Greatest Hits Vol.1 in 2020, we saw his potential (named Revelation of the Year at the

GAMIQ and winner of the Félix Award for Album of the Year at the ADISQ Gala). With his second album, Un homme et son piano, in 2022, we grasped the magnitude of the phenomenon (four sold-out shows at Club Soda). With P’tit Belliveau, his third album to be released in 2024, we are on track for the prophecy of “[...] a big poster [at] a sold-out Bell Centre [...].”
